before i say the reason, let me share an incident.
this morning batman was observing my lesson.
and then batman asked my CT (cooperating teacher) a question:"why is he wearing a soccer jersey?"
this question totally caught my CT by surprise. apparently my CT also dun understand why pe teachers are not allowed to wear soccer jerseys.
batman continued,"adidas tees, nike tees, can. but country jerseys and soccer club jerseys cannot."
CT asked,"then sg national team jersey can a not?"
batman replied,"cannot."
so this will be my last time wearing a foreign country's soccer jersey in sch. hence the posting of the above pic.
btw the soccer jersey i am wearing is the south korea national team jersey. it is the latest addition to my jersey collection. bought it at 40% discount!
this is the 5th week of my practicum. and today is my first day on mc. hopefully it will be the last too. honestly i dun like to take mc. it gives teachers and students the impression that i am weak. i am definitely not weak, but this cough has been bugging me for weeks, and yesterday the cough became really bad that i raised both arms and surrender. i really need a day of rest.
tomorrow i am excited because the P is observing my pe lesson! i will be teaching handball to this sec 3 express class. hopefully he will like the lesson, and even like the sport, which will enhance my chance of being released for the handball yog.
my P is very on the ball, very academic oriented, and also... humorous. yesterday during morning assembly, he told the whole school that some of the students are behaving as clowns, which shows no respect for the school. so he is paying special attention to this group of students, and he will go hard on them.

i wonder if the students heard this, because the AVA system was down, and he was addressing the whole school using the loudhailer.
students are a funny bunch. some of them are really nice, and when you teach them, you are full of energy and very willing to impart all your knowledge. but there are some jokers who will zap away your energy, and at the end of the lesson you will be like half dead after all the scolding.
let's hope the batman put these jokers behind bars.
ok i just realised that i did not do a memory flash back. last week during assembly, the ava club did a photo slide show on the memories back in the old tampines school and bedok holding school. and wow i appeared in two of the photos, despite not being there for two years!

i like this pic alot. this pic appeared in the slide show during assembly. everyone is still here, except for the enormous guy, second from the left, who was my VP. he went to the states to study his masters. the chinese guy in white bermudas on my left is not here too. he was my HOD PE at that time, now teaching at anglican high.
at the old tampines sch canteen, when we were having staff bonding session. we get to decorate our own cake with whipped cream, fruits, nuts and chocolates! it was quite fun. haha. dun ask me why my partner is the chinese teacher from china.

cca exchange day 2007. it was supposed to be students teaching students. but my students were shy so i had to teach instead. grrrrrr...
cca day 2008, in the holding sch. all the ccas set up booths to attract (or should i say bluff) the sec 1 blurries to join.
this has to be the proudest moment of my life. i am being tasked to give the o level results to one of the graduating classes, when i am just a contract teacher. their form teacher was on maternity leave. their co-form teacher was doing reservist. since the form was my mentor, the other subject teachers have their own stuff, and i got teach that class before, i am being chosen to give the result slips. haha.
during one of the assemblies, when i am being sabohed on stage to dance. so i sabohed some of my colleagues and students. hahahaha. this was very fun, the atmosphere was good and everyone was laughing happily.

twinning program with surabaya. during the june holidays we went over to surabaya. in july the surabaya students came here.
my last day in sch, before i went to nie for the two years of heaven. this is my godsister who sat behind me in the office. not teaching here anymore. she is now at xin min. and she just opened a blogshop selling baby clothes!
ok that's about it. hope that i will have a pleasant teaching experience in the new school compound.
i noticed something. i am being tagged as the pe teacher, the wushu teacher and the handsome teacher, by both students and colleagues.
i am not kidding about the handsome part! yesterday i was doing relief in a sec 1 class, and then the monitor suddenly say out loud in front of the whole class because he is sitting in front:"老师，你真的很帅."
*rolls eyeballs*
and then i dismissed the students at the end of the lesson. a boy said to me:"cher, that girl like you alot."
then i turn my head to where he is pointing, and a girl was standing there with the attendance book, blushing.
*rolls eyeballs 2nd time*
but i still signed the attendance book.
the girl said "thank you cher" meekly and ran off.
from this day onwards, i am going to abolish the forget movement club (FMC).
for those who dunno, the FMC consists of the founder (myself), the moaner (the most horny one) and the chairperson (declared by mummy). there you have it! the FMC!
now we will call ourselves the SNOWMEN CLUB. haha.
nzj posted the finale clip on youtube. i am quite amazed because the last part look quite neat, taking into account how often we screwed up during the practises and the choreography of the finale keep changing so that we will look less messier.
the audience laughed when the china boys came out. and mummy coming out from the curtain at the wrong time and go in again is quite funny. hahahaha.

its nice to see the juniors emoing about withdrawal symptoms on facebook. honestly i dun feel anything. so maybe it is a good time to exit gloriously, having been dancing in every single performance since DR07 until EMCC10.
it feels good when fellow dancers trust me to do things, for example xiaoyun ask me to train the china boys in the MEN item, fengjun ask me to source for lighter, and shumin ask me to be the snowman for her item.
so i am snowman 2, hanwei is snowman 1 and laval is snowman 3. hanwei is the most cock snowman because when he was pulling the string to let the snowflakes drop, he pulled down the entire string with the snowflakes still left intact on top. wah lao really damn funny, and i want to laugh loudly on the backstage also cannot.

i am now blogging at 6 am. in 14 hours time, 'motion in stillness' will be showcased at ucc theatre. i have been sleeping at 12 plus and waking up at 4 plus for the past two days. once the performance is over i will definitely sleep at least 6 hours every night.
yesterday was the full dress rehearsal, and for my case, it sucks. in the taiji item, my movements were slow right from the start as compared to the rest. liang bin was super duper angry and after the item when he walked into our dressing room his face was blacker than bao qing tian, and the crescent on the forehead evolve to full moon. we had our debrief at the end of whole rehearsal and got screwed by him. we shared cab home and he admitted to me that thank goodness he debriefed us after the whole rehearsal, when he already cooled down and not so angry. if he were to debrief us right after our item, he will definitely explode big time and we will receive 10 times worse than ferguson's hairdryer treatment. so on the cab i 对音乐 with liang bin. later on i must not screw up!

my room is undergoing an extreme makeover, and today the furniture is coming in. at first it is coming at night, but this morning i woke up i got a rude shock from my little sis, who said that it will come at 11 am! so i quickly dissemble my old bed, and clear the room as much as i can to facilitate the moving in.

so for the whole afternoon i was helping my dad move the furniture here and there. it is like moving house. only the two of us doing lor. i cant possibly pang sei my dad and let him move everything alone. as a result i was a bit late for the full dress rehearsal, and thank goodness my choreographers and president are very understanding people.
the full dress was supposed to be starting at 630, but based on previous experiences, it can never start at 630, and i was right! the troupe can only soar to greater heights if we can adhere to the given timing punctually.
tonight we also celebrate zhou laoshi's birthday! actually we were supposed to celebrate on wednesday during the full run, but zhou laoshi din come. so there were two cakes, and they were left in the fridge since wednesday until today, then 5 pm take out from the fridge and left in the air con temperature until 9 plus? dunno whether got spoil a not. hahahaha. but quite alot of pple still ate the cakes because the cakes are from bengawan solo. jia an said its spoilt because he tasted something sour and he immediately vomitted everything out.
i was the photographer. hanwei went off early. i can be a bastard by photoshopping myself inside. but i am being nice so i include him too! hahahaha.
anyway hor fengjun very funny. she prepared the cakes but nv prepare the lighter! so she ask me whether can i go and source for lighter. so i thought of asking zhou laoshi but fengjun thinks its a bit lame to borrow lighter from the birthday man and light the candle of his birthday cake.
so anyway, to cut the story short, i went up to zhou laoshi.
me: 老师, 我的朋友需要用打火机。你有吗？
zhou laoshi (searching his pockets and then look at me with a stunned face): 我已经戒了！哈哈哈！
me (also very stunned): 哦 ok ok!!! 戒烟好戒烟好！
then bo bian i went to search for the lighter with laval. first we went to cheers. cheers dun sell lighter, also dun sell matchsticks. then we go to subway. laval bought his sandwich because he is super hungry. i asked the subway staff whether he got lighter. he say dun have. then i ask him whether he got matchsticks. he also say dun have. then i ask whether does the kitchen have matchsticks. he pointed at the oven. ok point taken. hahahahahaha.
we decided to drive to fong seng to buy the lighter. and then we saw a few guys outside raffles hall talking cock. so i asked them whether they have lighter. and one of them has it! yes! i offered to buy it from him but he gave me free!
after the rehearsal we went for supper at blk 85! tampinesers (me + liang bin) and the woodlanders (darling + jingwen + grace)! we ordered bbq fish which has funny bones (commented by jingwen), gai lan for liang bin (although he is not a vegetarian but he tries to be a vegetarian for health reasons), otak, chicken wings and sugar cane juice.
ok finally have some social life this week.
next week onwards i will be at boiling point, because of performance, doing lesson plans and teaching. i still have an unannounced visit from my supervisor. hope it doesnt rain next week during my pe lessons!
so today is the official launch of the newly renovated sch compound.
5 students from each class have to gather at the holding sch at bedok. then they will take mrt from bedok to tampines mrt, then from tampines mrt they will walk to the sch. for the last 100 metres to the sch gate, got other students cheering for them with poms poms. and guess wat? the P and VP took mrt with them and walk with them too!
now the teachers dun use access card. we use transponder! remind me of the hall days. we use the transponder to open the staffroom, open special rooms like computer labs, and we even use it to mark our attendance. so every morning when we step into the sch, we must go to the general office and there is a terminal beside the main door, then we have to press our transponder at the terminal. before we go home also do the same thing. no more manual writing of attendance. technology rulez.
anyway i just asked for my P's permission to release me from sch on tuesday and wednesday once i finished my lessons. tuesday my lessons end at 930 am! wednesday my lessons end at 2 pm! and he allowed me to go off after that! three cheers to the P! i swear i will devote my heart and soul to the sch and help to shape the best out of every individual. *ZEN*
ok i am very tired. just now had practise at CFA. i had to practise all my 3 items at the same time. this is crazy. super duper shag. i cant even lift up my partner shumin, when she is already so light.

played soccer with my colleagues, and thank goodness i din get injured. but i got cramps in the beginning of the second half. later on my boot was spoilt. one stud came off, and the sole of the boot also came off. wanna play on also cannot so victor substitute me and i went off. after the first half we were leading 2-0! at the end of the game it was 2-1! we won!
i think i screwed myself up during full run. liang bin's item, forgot movements and nv count the beats of the music. the all guys item, also cannot count the beats of the music. ironically i feel most satisfied with destiny, despite that it is the most last min item. this is so strange.
comparing between psyche 08, retrospect 09 and motion stillness 10, i still feel the most for psyche. i also cant give the reason.
anyway after this performance i may not dance in the future emcc dance performances, due to my career. practises at night still can take it. but taking leave during bump-in period and the performance day itself is a bit unreasonable. yes i treat the performance seriously, but then my kids how? get relief i also feel guilty.

so i have been blogging since july 2005. and right now is march 2010. this post is also my 1000th post, so i shall celebrate this 1000th post at naive restaurant with my pe classmates. haha.
later on i will celebrate again with darling. most likely after the performance, and my cough fully recovered, and i shall bring her to go eat korean bbq!
anyway naive is a vegetarian restaurant. previously the restaurant put advertisement on you zhou kan until very hiong, and that's how i knew about this restaurant. the reason why we went to naive to eat is because king is a vegetarian! haha. yes naive has very nice vegetarian food, but it is a bit atas and the price is on the higher end.

tomorrow i playing soccer with my colleagues. we are playing against the teachers from sea star catholic. hope i wun get injured, because my injury record with the sch teachers' team is "wonderful". i only played twice with them, and for both times, i sprained my leg and had to see the sinseh.
so everybody, especially the dancers from nuscd, join me in praying and hoping that i will emerge injury free after the match. ah mi to fo.

being a teacher has no social life. in sch you educate students, mark worksheets and test papers, update attendance in sch cockpit, arranging all sorts of forms (edusave, cip, consent and all the blah blah) because you are a "form" teacher, and other miscellanous stuff. then when you go back home, you still mark, and you do lesson plans.
finally i had some life. thanks to the march holidays. i love march holidays. anyway i just met up with a friend whom i had known in the sch. at that time i was still a contract teacher and she was a relief teacher. she was also an ex student from that sch. she still go back to the sch for relief teaching quite often, so from her i obtained quite alot of info about the happenings in sch. this is like 无间道.
there is a very cool aviation exhibition at terminal 2. do check that out if you happen to be there. there is also a "weighing machine".
wah so light. she is a very ideal pdd partner.
phew... i still manage to maintain at 71 kg... hahahahaha...
ok now is already one am. i shall go and sleep and continue with the horrendous large number of lesson plans tomorrow morning.
this morning i finally played soccer with my jc friends. haven been playing with them for around 4 weeks, because of cny, handball carnival and dance practise. after the 2.5 hr session my legs were having cramps and my back is going to break. how weak i am right now, and i call myself a pe teacher.
in the evening i met up with leow and mak for dinner at sakura buffet. the restaurant is at marina country club which is situated at punggol. very ulu pandan place. no public bus goes there. you can only drive your own car, take cab, or take the shuttle service, which comes every half an hour, and only sits 12 pple.
the dinner was awesome. i wanted to take pics of the awesome skewers but the waiter came up to me and say taking pics of food not allowed. sian. the cost was 31 bucks per pax. quite worth it i think. i thought it will be like 40 plus because it is a sunday dinner.
anyway, i just registered for this urban freestyle run, which is on 10th april!
here are the obstacles:
1) water barrier
Participants will have to maneuver around and over a series of water barriers to complete this obstacle.
2) HUBBING STATION
Participants will have to hub together to complete this obstacle. They will collect a jigsaw piece defined by the Hubbing symbol printed on the back of their shirt (Max Online, TV, Mobile, Digital Voice or StarHub) and form a puzzle cube with three other participants.
3) PARKOUR ARENA
Inspired by parkour, participants have the opportunity to show off their skills in this special arena. The numerous frames and blocks are packed full of opportunity for self-expression but can be just as easily cleared by someone with no parkour experience whatsoever.
4) GIANT DRINKS CAN
Participants will race into the opening of a giant drink can to be enveloped by a refreshing wave of vapour before grabbing an even more refreshing energy drink on the way out.
5) SPORTS TUNNEL
Urban Freestylers can strike a pose and squeezing through cut outs in a series of sports themed walls.
6) GIANT SHOE
“Just Climb It” - participants will have to climb the laces of a giant shoe into the insole and leap out to complete this wacky obstacle.
7) FASHION RUNWAY
Strike a pose alone or with your friends on the Fashion Runway with the Marina Bay Sands in the backdrop before leaping off and continuing on the course - a throng of photographers, will capture all the shots for you to grab at the end of the run.
8) CAR JUMP
Climb and slide over two colliding cars before dashing to the final fun-filled obstacle.
9) SLIP 'N' SLIDE
Forget running across non-existing finisher’s tape, participants will get to slip and slide across the finish line, “soaking” in the atmosphere of completing Singapore’s most fun run!
i am very thankful that tmr is the start of the march hols. although still got alot of work to do, but at least no need to teach, so i can rest my voice and also let my cough recover. :)
at one pm, whereby its going to rain. it looks peaceful on the outside, but inside the office it is chaos, because every teacher is packing their stuff.
goodbye holding sch. although the sch compound is a bit old, but i will miss its tranquility.
this morning i woke up at 430 am. the reason for waking up so early was not meant to do my lesson plans. the reason was to watch the second half of man u vs ac milan! man u won 4 nil! and david beckham made a emotional return to old trafford after leaving the club for 7 years!

i think for a korean he is speaking quite well. i still have the impression of korean language as very barbaric, with all the "chio chio chio" sounds at the back of every word or sentence. even a very chio korean turn me off the moment she speaks.
this morning's pe lesson we were training the kids for the 30 kids 31 legs. it was really fun. teachers enjoyed themselves. students enjoyed themselves too.
and then i went back to the new sch again to supervise the moving of the pe equipment to the indoor sports hall. the ISH is really solid!!!
my colleague saw the volleyball net, hugged the volleyball post, and cried. he is dying to set up a volleyball cca. this shows how passionate or crazy a pe teacher can get over a sport that he or she loves.
the jack neo saga is getting out of hand. more women are stepping forward, claiming that they had a fling with him, or were sexually harassed by him. one of them include a french actress! she was only 16 years old at that time when jack neo advanced on her! wassup!
anyway the super lao jiao kevii senior summarised the whole jack neo saga in one poster. i feel that he really did a very good job. kudos to his humor and creativity.
