recap of 2014

this is most probably my last post of 2014, because tomorrow i will be bringing my show choir to perform for a countdown concert at night, then after that i will embark on a staycation with darling to welcome 2015!!!

i nv perform for a countdown event before and my kids got the opportunity to perform! so cool! :)

without further ado, here's the recap of 2014. 

2015 will be a great year, especially so because it is my last year at the workplace. will go all out at the last year so i can leave the workplace with a bang!

christmas party with the jc classmates

we make it a point to meet twice per year, during cny for steamboat, and during christmas. 

for the past two occasions of receiving christmas presents without giving any, this year i finally remembered to give! the joy of giving is totally equal to the joy of receiving. i have been such an asshole for the past two occasions. hahahaha. 

thank you everyone for the great company, delicious food (char siew from CHAR was the best!!) and awesome gifts! cheers to our many years of friendship!

gu family book

dec holidays is a good time to watch dramas. 

for this holidays i watched finish gu family book. 

i think is very nice! must watch! got good actors and actresses. and the lead actor (lee seung gi) and lead actress (suzy) can sing very well too! omg korean artistes are so talented.

royal carribean cruise - mariner of the seas

the last time i went for a cruise (star aquarius) is during primary school, with my family. i could only remember two things - the cabin that we stayed at is very small, and the food that we ate is very good and very abundant. 

for royal carribean cruise, the cabin (they call it the STATEROOM) was bigger, and the food was also very good and very abundant. 

our stateroom! they haven't bring down the extra bed that is hidden inside the ceiling.

how did the room attendant do that? amazing!

jogging track at deck 12. there are altogether 13 decks (levels). our room is at deck 2. 

swimming pool is on deck 11.

when you feel hungry at meal times, you have 3 choices to settle your meals (that are all complimentary because it is all being paid for in the package)
1) windjammer cafe, that serves buffet
2) main dining room, that serves fine dining cuisine (later on we found out that some of the dishes are taken from the windjammer cafe, presented in fine dining style)
3) ROOM SERVICE (complimentary room service! how cool is that?!)

and if you feel hungry at odd hours, you can go to the cafe that opens 24 hours. or you can go to the casino that always have finger food. 

that's why an average person put on an average of 5 kilograms PER DAY on the royal carribean cruise. 

on the cruise i also watched high quality performances by their guest performers from different countries. watched amazing spiderman 2 at the movie theatre. 

i went to the gym (for one day only) to get rid of the excess kilos. of course i failed. hahahahaha. 

海景粥店

it has been two weeks since the hk trip. i miss hk, especially satay king and the cooling hk weather! 

anyway, if you are staying in mongkok and looking for breakfast places, do try out 海景粥店 at 105 argyle street! on our last day in hk, we were looking for places to eat breakfast. we already tried Tsui Wah (翠华) the previous day. so we were walking randomly and we saw this!

so we went in to try. we ordered porridge, youtiao, 豆浆 and a pork chop set. 

the porridge and 豆浆 was good! damn shiok to eat hot porridge and hot 豆浆 in the cooling weather. their 油条 was really GIGANTIC. luckily we only ordered one piece. there was a couple sitting beside us and they ordered a 油条 and a 豆浆 each. when the food arrived at their table and they saw how big the servings were they totally got the sian ji bua face. 

tomorrow i am going for my travelling journey part 2, on the royal carribean cruise for 4D3N, with my 2 army friends mr leow and mr mak. i will be uncontactable for that 4D3N, because there is no free wireless on the cruise. my friend told me the cheapest wireless package is 25USD. crazy. no way am i going to pay that money.

大妹嫁出去咯

the big event that the family is waiting for has finally arrived! my younger sister is getting married! 

she woke up at 530 am to get her make-up done. the sisters arrived at 645 am to prepare the stuff for gate crash. i left the house at 710 am to fetch my cousin, who was the little boy chosen to open the bridal car door. 

all the best to my BIL and his brothers. this is only a small part of the package. 

1130 am was the start of the 敬茶, and omg suddenly my house was packed with pple (brothers, sisters, relatives from my dad's side and mum's side). damn happening. hahahaha. 

ok let's fast forward to the banquet, which was at goodwood park hotel. 

 yes we were the emcees for the banquet! our 2nd time doing emcee together. 1st time was in 2012, for darling's sister's wedding!

finally, congrats to my sister and brother-in-law! live happily ever after and give birth to more children! next year is SG50. LOL.
