fisheye camera photos [800th post!]

my friend just bought a fisheye camera.

and this is my 800th post! wow its pretty amazing that i have blogged for so long. starting from the black color background skin, then to the white and pale blue color skin, finally to this reddish brown skin. but i heard from pple that they find it very hard to read my blog now when they using firefox, cos the words will appear grey on maroon background. ok maybe its time to change another new skin. haha.

anyway thanks to my dear readers who have been following my blog. hope that my blog has entertained you in one way or another.

exams are over for me! yay!

this morning before the paper i was studying at nie canteen, and i saw my armour instructor, encik toh sok kwang. he was my tank commander course 2IC (second in-charge), but now he already promoted to course commander. he is one guy that i really respect from the bottom of my heart. went up to him and greeted him, and the first thing he asked, "do i know you?"

anyway cant be blamed, cos i think i changed alot in terms of appearance since my army days, thanks to lasik which makes my face a bit more handsome, but no thanks to the increased weight which makes me look like a pregnant man.

the paper was ok lah. forgot lots of stuff, but try to write as much relevant stuff as i can remember. wont do well for the paper, but wun fail either. anyway our lecturers are not out to fail us, and that is the good thing (that's what i hope and i assume).

went to darling's house for dinner, and her mum prepared yong tau foo. omg words cant describe how delicious the yong tau foo is. i think i am a very blessed person. the good thing about eating at darling's house is her mum prepares dinner very early. by seven pm can eat already.

my mum leh? liao xi gan, drag here drag there, eight pm then we get to eat. then if we ask her why she cook dinner so late, she will say she very tired, or she want to watch tv. in the first place she was so tired because she always sleep very late at night, about one or two am, and she has to wake up at six am the next day. something must be done to let her wake up her idea.

and this chance came yesterday. since dunno how many years ago, my mum has been psycho-ing me to do braces, but i always brush away the idea, because i scared it will be very pain. then yesterday, she brought up the braces topic again. AND YES HERE'S MY OPPORTUNITY.

so both of us have a consensus. i will go do braces only if:

1. she prepares dinner by 730 pm everyday, so that we no need to starve until 8 pm.

2. she must sleep early every night, latest time for her to sleep is 12 midnight. so that she can have at least six hours of sleep per day, therefore got healthy lifestyle. early sleep early wake up body good (direct translation from the chinese proverb).

if she managed to accomplish the above in two months, i will go do braces immediately. i put two months because it will be a routine for her, and she will find it very hard to deviate from this routine. HAHA.

but seriously, i am still scared of doing braces. haiz.

oh on a side note, ang hw is back! let's welcome him home by giving him a large present worthy of his physical assets:

new study place

recently i went to a new study place: national library at bugis~

very quiet. very ideal for studying. got libraries on basement 1, 7th floor, 8th floor, 9th floor, 10th floor and 11th floor.

basement 1 is the normal library where you can borrow story books, non-fiction books, or any kind of books. but the 7th floor to 11th floor libraries are actually reference libraries. so for the reference libraries, you can only bring in a laptop and writing paper. you arent allowed to bring notes or textbooks.

and the shiok thing is when you go bugis junction to eat lunch, you can also shun bian do some window shopping, and also see those handsome office men and pretty working ladies. good deal yes?

wednesday post

went to nus in the morning to study. some of you must be wondering why i went to nus to study. is actually because i want to watch syf central judging at ucc hall which starts at 11 am. yes i think i got guts to go watch that when my paper starts at 1 pm.

today my contract sch is down for judging, and their item is named 走在山水间. i think its really not bad! after having seen their past few performances, i seriously felt that they did very well for today.

after i watched finish their performance i left ucc because have to rush to nie for the 1 pm paper. my ex-colleague asked me how did they do, and without a doubt, i told her: "跳的不错!"

took a cab to nie, and sat for the paper. i can only say that the paper was a killer. this year's paper was much more difficult than the past year papers! to think that i studied the solutions of the past year papers, hoping that there will be repeat of questions for this year. but nothing of that sort. haiz. anyway its over, heck it, i still got one last paper on monday!

and after the paper, i switch on my hp, and my student sms-ed me, saying that they got gold with honours! wow! congrats to all of them! :)

how to get a hot bod

to achieve the body above, hugh jackman did the following for one year:

1) wake up every morning at 4 am to work out in the gym

2) everyday eat 7 meals of food that contain high protein

3) no eating of deep fried oily stuff and drinking soft drinks, only eat steam chicken breast meat, green veggies, brown rice, and drink peppermint tea.

wow. dun say one year, if anyone ask me to do all these for one week, i also wun agree to it. haha.

shopping at orchard road

went with darling to takashimaya to spend my 40 bucks voucher, which was given to me when i bought the 399 bucks panasonic digital camera. so with the voucher, i bought two very nice everlast singlets. i think i will wear singlets more often, even if i am going out shopping, cos the weather is damn bloody hot these few days!

anyway hor i realised my panasonic camera lens is a bit diry already. sian. dunno isit because i touched it accidentally with my finger. if i clean it with ethanol will it spoil the lens? someone pls advise me on this, thank u very much.

we had dinner at the coffee club at wheelock place. and we took pics with the handsome bachelors and pretty models from CLEO.

the dancers' technique 好到没话说。the guys are lean and yet got well-defined muscles, including their six-pack. and i must applaud the guys' bravery in wearing white color underwear to dance. i can only say that i will definitely nv nv nv nv just wear a underwear to go perform on stage, firstly because i have no 身材, secondly i also dun have the guts, and thirdly i dun have the confidence since i got no 身材 in the first place.

sec sch memories

today i made a trip to my alma mater to watch the inter-sch wushu competition.

so many years had passed since my days as a sch team wushu athlete... during my days the wushu competition is organised solely by singapore national wushu federation. right now the competition is recognised by MOE as a core sport, so both MOE and SNWF work hand in hand to organise the yearly wushu competition. can see the difference compared to the past, for example the electronic key-in and tabulating of marks.

when i was watching the students competing, a sense of nostalgia overcome me. last time i was like them, giving all out, executing every stroke with strength, beauty and precision, just to achieve glory for myself, and also for the school. and last time, i nv have the opportunity to compete at my home ground. we always have to go to other schools or toa payoh sports hall to compete. now chung cheng is recognised by MOE as the niche school in wushu, so the competition is being held there every year.

wushu is getting more and more popular in singapore, and more schools are having wushu as a cca. and so there is more branding of wushu. for example i saw this guy wearing their sch's wushu tee, the left side of the tee is the logo, and the right side of the tee is CAPTAIN. wassup man.

wushu lies in my blood. even though i nv practise for very very long, even though dance has kind of replaced wushu in my current life, however i will nv nv forget that my roots come from wushu. wushu has shaped wat i am today, wat i am as a person.

as wat 叶问 said: "武术虽然是一种武装的力量，但是我们中华武术，是包含儒家的哲理，武德, 也就是仁，推己及人"

couldnt agree more than that.

thanks to those who are concerned about wat happened between me and darling. i am glad to say that everything is fine, and we still love each other alot. :)

went to meet my army friends in the afternoon and before meeting them, i had katong laksa at roxy square. my first time eating it, and i must say that this is the best katong laksa i have tasted and is confirm nicer than the 328 katong laksa. this is just a personal opinion. laksa lovers who support the 328 katong laksa dun come and whack me hor. :p

and then we went to this massage parlour at tanjong katong. dun get too excited, is clean one, and the massage ladies in their 30s, and not chio one. haha. but the massage is very shiok, one hour for 48 bucks. can go there once in a while to 宠一宠自己.

after the massage, we went to a jap restaurant which is just beside the massage parlour. the name of the restaurant is called minori. they serve ala-carte buffet, dinner is 31++ per pax, lunch is 27++. the food there is quite solid.

one of the many items that we ordered is the sashimi moriwase. wah we got a super big plate. very ideal for sashimi lovers. i think one plate like that cost around 28 dollars.

and we got a complimentary dish. grilled scallops with baked cheese! yummy! scallops are my all time favourite and is a must have when i go to any jap restaurant.
