early birthday celebration for darling was at himawari restaurant at orchid country club. jap restaurant, ala carte buffet, order and eat until you shiok! :)

before that i went to NOM Bistro and Bakery to get a rainbow birthday cake. NOM stands for No Other Meaning. 

each layer of the rainbow cake got a different flavour! amazing wor!!!

today i visited ite college central for the first time. i was honestly impressed by the school environment and the facilities! it also has f&b outlets such as subway, koufu, korean bbq restaurant, chinese seafood restaurant, ntuc. 

last but not least, their fabulous staff clubhouse that has a gym, wii, xbox, pool table, foosball and foot massager! thank you mr leow for bringing us in. :)

and finally today is sunday, and the next day will be the first day of term 2. 

the week of march hols is a good week, because i get to see darling on monday, tuesday, yesterday and today! 

we even finished watching the korean drama 九回时间旅行. awesome drama full of suspense and twists that you can never expect. 

today we went to woodlands library to support xuehong and foo chun ying's performance. the title of the performance is 'Red Queen', choreographed by mr lim chin huat, who was the costume ic for the 感恩 performance in dec 2013. 

xuehong look like a pale-faced vampire. without the two long teeth. hahahahaha. 

ok going to sleep! term 2 will be a super busy term for me. i will survive!

the last day of march hols. :(

so we have to end the last day with a bang, by celebrating honeystar's belated birthday.

Dance Battle

dance battle was the most popular out of all the performances that were held last saturday at the workplace. 

each house have to send five dancers for the dance battle, and it is a 1 vs 1 format on the stage. each dancer have 3 songs to battle, and each song is about 20 to 25 seconds. 

hence yours truly have to find like 40+ songs beforehand, and have to edit the songs. damn shag. 

but i am glad that both dancers and audience had lots of fun, so all the hard work was worth it.

Restaurant Week - Fullerton Boathouse

it is the march holidays! on tuesday darling brought me to Fullerton Boathouse for a lunch treat! *feeling pampered and happy*

we love the food and the ambience of the restaurant! both choices of the main course (snapper fillet and duck breast) are super delicious. restaurant week is until the end of this week! go book your desired restaurant now. :)

on a side note, i am super happy that man u won olympiakos 3-0 to go through to the quarter finals of UEFA Champions' League. yes i woke up at 340 am just now to watch the match! the perks of having school holidays.

it is the sch carnival again, whereby every class will set up their own stall and do business. the funds raised are contributed to the needy students in the workplace. the sec ones will do Service (for example face painting, henna drawing, hair braiding/colouring, manicure), the sec twos are doing Games, the sec threes are doing F&B, and for the sec fours they can do whatever they want since it is their last year already. 

my form class (1T1) is doing mystery box challenge, whereby each customer will pay two dollars to draw for a prize in the mystery box. the grand prize is a mp3 player (contributed by my partner Form Teacher)! and the "lousiest" prize is three lollipops. hahaha. 

besides the school carnival, we also have fringe activities (inter-house telematch) at the field and performance (dance, a cappella, ukelele, inter-house dance battle, talent competition). as usual, not surprisingly, i am heavily involved in the performance. but i am glad that everyone enjoyed the performance, and it is very heartening to see almost the whole parade square filled with audience sitting on the floor to watch the performances. :)

today robin #2 sat in for the pe dept meeting. to give you some background information, robin #2 just came in to the workplace at the start of this year. 

so anyway let's not talk about what dialogue that happened during the meeting. 

at the end of the meeting, robin #2 stared at me and said,"Y_ _ n y_ n, you are exceptionally quiet today. You are actually not like that right?"

either i must have been super prominent and super vocal during the past 3 months, or during the short span of 3 months she has researched on every staff in the workplace, myself included.

obstacles of urbanathlon 2014

before i start introducing the obstacles, let me introduce the most AA (attract attention) runners for Urbanathlon 2014. 

being AA is good, because all the cameramen will take photos of them! 

without further ado, the obstacles (tan zhunian must be laughing right now):

1st Obstacle - Balance Sheet

i failed at this obstacle! because the beam is really super thin! very hard to balance! then i kenna suan by my pe friend: oei! head of performing arts cannot balance?!


2nd Obstacle: Wire House

3rd Obstacle - Lateral Move

i really dunno how the ladies passed this obstacle. it's quite shag!

4th Obstacle - Peaks & Troughs

first you need to use the rope to conquer the slope. (actually i run up the slope and already conquered 2/3 of the slope before holding the rope)

then you need to make your way down

and then you need to climb up again

finally you slide down and carry on running to the 5th obstacle!


5th Obstacle - Workload (have to carry 20 kg sandbag and run 100 m) 

the most we can do is actually brisk walk. even i also dun dare to run with the sandbag even though i am well trained by nuscd to carry a 40 kg female dancer on my shoulder. and i honestly applaud the women who survived this station. 

6th Obstacle - Leap of Faith

this was my 2nd most favourite obstacle!

the face is so full of determination and perseverance can!!!

Final Obstacle - 

we have to run our way up the ramp (no rope to help us wor). some of the ladies didnt manage to clear it on the first attempt. 

and then we slide down into a big pool of water! it was really fun, but when you think of sliding into the pool of water with alot of other people's perspiration, it is a bit disgusting.

so after we get out from the pool of water is chiong all the way to the finish line! and i love this pic too! look at the grit on her face. ultimate TTM.
