i slept from 1 am yesterday to 11 am today.

went to the Arts House to support my little sis in the above mentioned play. the F in front of the Friends stands for... fantastic? fabulous? or the famous four letter word? up to the audience to decide. but i think only the director or scriptwriter of the play know what the F truly means.
at the front of house, we were given lollipops and... condoms. before the show started, the emcee told us that it is a two hour play, and there is an intermission of 10 minutes, where we can go for toilet breaks, freshen up, and go for quickies, that is why we are given the condoms. -.-'''
since it is a M18 play, the play is filled with vulgarities, explicit dialogue and... explicit actions. the play is divided into 6 scenes. each scene is anchored by 2 people.
the 3rd scene is the most 劲爆 because at the start of the 3rd scene, this guy carried a girl into the stage, put the girl on a stool. the girl was wearing a long dress and the guy put his hand into the dress, took out a red underwear, and put his head into the dress... and started to go down on her. and the girl just high-ed there for about one minute and moaned throughout that one minute. i seriously wonder whether she got ask her parents to come and watch. then at the end of the one minute, a phone call ringed and the girl pushed the guy's head out, and the guy lie there on the floor, and i can see wet stains around his mouth.
and i started to worry whether my little sis will have such explicit actions a not. my parents are watching beside me. my little sis is in the 4th scene, together with this guy who look a bit like... 小白脸. hahaha.
ok lah, she took off her top with her back facing the audience (she still had her bra on) and changed to a new one. and she kissed with that guy on the lips at the last part of the scene. that's all.
i am proud of my little sis who found her calling in acting. actually i am proud of the 3 of us, who are considered proficient in our own form of performing arts. we definitely got that performing arts genes from our mother because she was also in drama during her secondary school days. definitely not from our dad, because he falls asleep during our performances. hahahahaha. but we still love him alot. :p
the workplace celebrates cny today. there was a cny concert from 1130 to 1230.
the concert consists of a lion dance performance from an external lion dance troupe, a dance item by modern chinese dance, wushu item by the school's wushu team, and 2 students singing cny songs. the finale item is a combination of the 6 best dancers from modern chinese dance, 2 best students from wushu and 1 best performing teacher, who is none other than me! hahahaha. the choreographer for the item is the GWH choreographer, mr xuehong! we started practise during the dec holidays. :p

our item brought a thunderous applause from the audience. i can hear my students cheering for me during the performance. after the performance everybody was so happy. :)

i have been coughing badly for the past week.
today i am on mc.
today at 330 pm i was supposed to present my concept for the 26th speech day performance. so even though i was on mc i wanted to go to the workplace to present. so i think my boss told batman, and batman ordered me to stay at home and rest, and not to show my face in school. FOR COMPLIANCE. :p
yesterday my student from my form class was chatting with me on facebook. he complained to me that this boy sitting in front of him is very irritating and he can't concentrate in class. and he told me the class is very noisy most of the time.
and he told me this:
the class with you = peace
the class without you = angry bird park
wow... that is such a tall compliment... and he is quite humorous. :p
quite funny to see big stars and a famous director having cameo roles in this movie. go see the movie and spot them!

when i reach the staffroom at 650 am, i thought i was the earliest.
but when i was positioning my camera i heard noise from the another portion of the staffroom. so i am the second! haha.
end of week 2... eight more weeks to go before term 1 ends.
the workplace is having 26th anniversary celebrations in term 1 week 10. and i got called upon by robin #2 to plan the performance component again. hahaha...
robin #2 is the new Violet Papa of my workplace. so now my workplace got batman, robin #1 and robin #2. woo hoo!
yay i have a new laptop!
i will need quite some time to get used to windows 7.0 and microsoft office 2010.
anyway i will like to share with you one of my joys of teaching. one part of teaching that i enjoy alot is when students come to me to for advice, for example on their future choice of tertiary education, or any stuff that got to do with their personal life, and after listening to my advice, they 茅塞顿开。
just now at around 9 pm i received an sms from my ex student. she wanted to ask me about jc stuff. during sec one and sec two, she was a problem kid, always giving trouble, and all the teachers have a bad impression of her. as a result, she screwed up her sec 2 streaming and got into the last express class in sec 3.
her sec 3 form teacher did not give up on her, believed that she has leadership potential, and made her the class chairperson. from then on she took up the role with pride, and executed the duties of chairperson efficiently (because she was a notorious ah lian and all the students scared of her). she started to realise the importance of studying and studied hard for her o levels, and she was the top student of her class, getting 10 points for L1B4 and 13 points for L1B5.
i taught her class chemistry for 10 weeks during my practicum, and that was how she got to know me better. on and off we will chit chat for a while when we see each other in sch, and once a while she will come and ask me questions on chemistry.
so just now we talked on the phone for 20 minutes regarding her options. she did not take A maths during o level because she was in the last class, so she cant go to a science stream because she will die terribly if she took h2 maths, and she wants to do h2 bio or h2 chemistry. she also wants to do h2 econs because she wants to go study business at ntu or nus.
and she told me she regretted being so mischievous during her sec 2. of course i told her now is not too late, and i am really happy seeing her mature so much and having turned over a new leaf.
she is a success story that i will share with my students.
last week, i had given the gangster of my form class the role of chairperson. hahaha. he accepted the role readily. and 2 days ago he thanked me sincerely for giving him the role. :)

today i saw some of my students smiling in front of me when they got their results. i also saw students crying in front of me. and i have to pass them tissue paper. my colleague beside me had to play the "mother" character and keep comforting them.
yes i had taught graduating classes before, but i teach them together with another teacher, and i am not the main teacher. so...
but this time round is different. i am the main teacher responsible for that class. i taught them for 1.5 years. their results are my responsibility. whenever they din do well for tests or exams or prelims, i always reproach myself. especially for year 2011, when i was too involved with the anniversary celebrations, i went for reservist twice, for 3 whole weeks, in feb and august.
to be very honest, their results were not up to my expectations. but i truly believe they tried their very best. and i am proud of what they have achieved.
and to add on, my tuition student also got an A1! she was very happy because she said only a handful in her school got A1 (she come from a girls' sch in the east), and her chem teacher was super shocked that she got an A1. haha.
so the top student from my workplace is a girl. she is my wushu student! 武状元。haha. she scored all distinctions. and her L1B5 is 7 points! win liao. potential CEO of a big company (hopefully not SMRT).
tomorrow is the release of 'O' level results!
i am nervous for my students. how well they do will determine whether i will be able to teach pure chem in the subsequent years. haha.

today is intra house games. so each pe teacher organised a tournament. i organised the captain's ball tournament. and we had a staff match today. so many student spectators watched us play and cheered for us. the whole thing was quite fun.
and then in the afternoon i did a rehearsal for tomorrow's performing arts performance for the sec 1 students. i rem last year i was super gan jiong cos it was my first time doing that. and i cant sleep at all because i very scared something wrong will happen.
but this year, thanks to my experience in organising the workplace anniversary concert in 2011, i found this so much easier and everything went smoothly during the rehearsal. except for some ava hiccups here and there.
let's hope tmr will be smooth too!
anyway yesterday and today, everybody in the school is busy doing this:
we have to build 33 iconic structures in tampines, using STRAWS.
tampines mall, century square, tampines 1, tampines mrt station, tampines bus interchange, tampines round market are some of them.
my class do tpjc. hahahaha. if you see the picture above, that is the stadium of tpjc. can see the rock wall a not? the field? and the running track? and the swimming pool with one "straw person" floating inside? to be honest i dun remember seeing a pool in tpjc. hahahahahahaha.
so these 33 structures right, will put in a tampines map, 7 m by 7 m. and tomorrow morning, SBOR (Singapore Book of Records) will come and validate our gigantic map with 33 straw structures, and yay, we are in the SBOR!
and tomorrow is already friday! so fast! omg!!!
i din sleep well yesterday. too excited? or too apprehensive? or too sian? think i only slept for around 1 to 2 hours.
anyway first day of sch is over, just like that. i cabbed to nuh for my root canal treatment. the treatment took 2.5 hours and i still must go there for another two times. :(
had a very delicious lunch at black angus steak restaurant, with my jc classmates.
there was gift exchange at the end of the lunch and i din buy anything for them, and they bought gifts for me! so paiseh... i will definitely buy gifts for them next year. :p
after lunch went to chinatown for the 1st combined rehearsal of my 31st march performance.
and then went to melting pot cafe for dinner with darling and dance friends. the food is of acceptable standard, except that the shoyu for the sashimi, they use chinese dark soy sauce instead of the japanese shoyu. so the chinese dark soy sauce with wasabi taste a bit... weird.
tomorrow is 1st day of school. ARRGHHHHHH!!!
