monday post

was feeling a bit down this morning because man u lost 2-1 to swansea. 

thank goodness i met up with darling in the evening and all the monday blues went away! :)

saturday post

today was a very fulfilling day. 

i brought the parents to AEIOU cafe for dinner. the food there was good! so happy to see that the parents enjoy the food there. it is my first time bringing them for a meal at a cafe. :)

expresso with avocado juice. weird combi but it taste really good! 

baked avocado! this is DA BOMB! half boiled egg and smoked salmon replaces the avocado seed. 

besides the chicken we also ordered the duck confit. chicken was nice but the duck confit was even better! 

our desserts - tiramisu and yuzu lime cheesecake. personally i prefer the yuzu lime cheesecake. mum preferred the tiramisu. dad anything also can. 

after dinner we went to capitol theatre to watch '7 Letters'. thank you to my little sis for getting the tickets for us! capitol theatre was a movie theatre in the olden days, for my parents' generation to par tor. amusingly both my parents have never been there before. it has been closed for 17 years and thanks to a 50 million renovation fee, it has been refurbished and renovated and it is now open again! it is really a magnificient theatre. 

'7 Letters' was really nice! i am so glad to watch it. my favourites were jack neo's 'That Girl', royston tan's 'Bunga Sayang' and kelvin tong's 'Grandma Positioning System'. 

my friend mr nickson is featured inside 2 of the stories! please go watch if you haven't! support local production! it is the best SG50 present from singapore's filmmakers. :)

star performing arts centre

i am still very much in awe of star performing arts centre. my kids are super blessed to be able to perform on this stage, that has been performed by famous celebrities such as Backstreet Boys, Yung Hwa (the female kids went crazy over his poster at backstage), Kit Chan and Yiruma. 

and our dressing room was awesome. got our own toilet and own shower. got our own LCD tv to watch what's happening on stage. got refrigerator and sofa. and the cleaner comes in our dressing room every two hours to clear the rubbish. what more can i ask. 

it was really a mind blowing experience at star performing arts centre!

to reward myself for leading the show choir to 'diamond' award and also for getting ippt gold last sat, i treated myself and darling to a wonderful meal at prego!

darling was so captivated by the green apple thingy. 

woooo look at the spread! and darling said i have slimmed down. hahahahaha. 

it was a good lunch. thanks to my far card dining privileges, i only paid $27.69 for the meal. woo hooooo~
