集体拳 @ toa payoh sports hall

i woke up today at 245 am to watch the champions league final between barcelona and my beloved manchester united. and i see my beloved manchester united lose 3-1 to barcelona, which i have nothing to say, because seriously barcelona is the better team. 


so i went back to sleep after the match and force myself to wake up at 8 am because i must reach tanjong pagar cc at 10 am to practise our 集体拳. 


ok some honest words from my heart. wushu has always been my passion. without wushu i dun think i will be who i am today. i feel so happy and proud that i am competing in a wushu competition again, after ten years.


its a blessing that i screwed up my psle results and ended in chung cheng high main, which was my 3rd choice. my first choice was anglican high and second choice was temasek sec. hahahaha.


and i am glad that i entered kevii hall and get to know xue hong. that's when i picked up dancing. and then from xue hong i know all the nuscd people and also know derek, the choreographer for this 集体拳. xue hong, i dun want to be mushy, but knowing you really changed my life alot. hahahaha.


last but not least i found my darling in kevii hall. in the past i was an impatient, short tempered, arrogant and self-centred brat. after knowing darling, she tamed me from a wild boar to a nicer pig. i believe that i am now more patient, have a better temper, less arrogant, and put others ahead of myself. that is what i believe lah. if you dun think so you can always tell me. :p


ok lah i must thank this wushu team for this wonderful journey. we trained hard together. and we compete on the same carpet together as a team. sorry mr ang hw for pulling you in at the last min. you always whine and moan and grumble, but i know deep in your heart you are also happy to be competing again after such a long period of time. correct me if i am wrong. 


last but not least, thank you mr derek seong for choreographing such a nice routine. i really enjoyed myself doing this 集体拳. if next year you are choreographing again i hope to be part of the team! that is if i am good enough lah. hahahahaha.


ok i also want to thank darling, darling's parents, my parents, and my students for coming down to watch. your support means alot to me. i am grateful.

saturday post

i am excited about tomorrow.


firstly, i am taking part in 全国武术锦标赛. representing rhythm n moves for the 集体拳 event. we have been training on sunday mornings. and i even sacrificed my sunday morning soccer sessions. hopefully it will be a meaningful sacrifice. to be honest i am happy to be training wushu again, with a team of people passionate about wushu. this really rocks man! really hope that we can do well tomorrow. and for your information, the last time i participated in a wushu competition like this was ten years ago! in 2001! when i was still in year 2 in temasek jc. 


secondly, i am flying off to korea. have to reach changi airport terminal 2 at 1030 pm. i have 12 students' passports with me and i am very stressed. btw there are 32 students and 4 teachers going for this trip. at this point of time i haven start packing, which makes me even more stressed. :p


so tomorrow is really a very happening day for me. haha. my parents and darling are coming to watch! any of you will like to watch also? if you are, come down to toa payoh sports hall tomorrow at 3 pm! :)

kota tinggi camp

since a few of my dance friends are going to kota tinggi to do a performance, this post is specially dedicated to them, so that they know what to expect. hahahahahaha.


so i went to kota tinggi with my sch teachers and sec 3 students for an overseas camp. the duration was 4 days 3 nights. kota tinggi is not in singapore hor. it is in malaysia. it is about one hour fifteen min bus ride from the johor customs. 


the students have to stay in tents. the teachers stay in chalet. haha. let me show you our chalet.

room 512. stayed here with another 2 male pe teachers for the 3 nights. we talk cock and we play dai di during our free time. shiok.

the room. not too bad right? got air con some more.

i sleep on this bed. haha.

the toilet. they even provide us towels and a soap dispenser. not bad.

but right the toilet is always visited by insects. this insect is one of them. got many other insects like bees and bugs. the toilet basin, the toilet floor is full of dead bugs and bees, killed by my colleague. he can't stand them.

and speaking of dining, i must say the food served here is awesome! it is the best camp food i have eaten so far! i always go for 2nd or 3rd round for both breakfast and dinner!

i have definitely put on a few more kilos after the camp! 


ok and now the activities. for this camp i am the land expedition ic. so our land expedition is to a waterfall. first we must walk 3 km on road to a jungle. then we reach the jungle we must trek for about 1.5 km to the waterfall.

after playing at the waterfall, we had outdoor cooking - maggi mee, hot dogs and baked beans.

and the 4D3N camp is concluded with a fabulous campfire.

the kids enjoyed the camp. some of the teachers enjoyed the camp. i personally enjoyed the camp. great food. great company. great resort. this is certainly a good break from work.

wah lao eh i survived today.


i finally finished keying in the comments for the 41 students of my form class.


i trained my wushu students from 130 pm to 3 pm. and today a sec 2 kid came to me saying he wants to join wushu as a 2nd cca. he got wushu background during pri sch and learnt for 4 years already! and he is really not bad! i am super happy. it is like 捡到宝. hahaha. 


and then i supervised the rehearsal of the korea overseas trip performance. my 32 students will be peforming something for the korean students at 2 different korea schools that we are visiting. so the first item will be singing "Home", second item is some cultural dance by the girls, third item is a b-boy item by the boys, and finally will be a finale item using the famous jj lin oh yeh oh yeh yog song. hahahahaha. 


next i played soccer against the teachers of witty's school. i scored a goal! hahaha. but i suffered cramps after the match. old liao. cmi liao.


after the soccer match i attended the pre-trip briefing by the tour agency. wah lao the 2 agents who came down to brief us need to improve on their presentation skills. cannot engage the audience. speak so soft like speaking to himself. if i have not paid any money for the trip i will just walk off and find another tour agency. let's hope the tour guide at korea will be much better.


i am now very tired.


tomorrow running 25 km for the 100 plus passion run. wish me luck~ hahaha.

1) Diamond Hotel (Busan)

The Diamond Hotel opened in 2003 and is a new style luxury hotel located in the core of Yeonje-gu, Yeonsan-dong rotary, which is new center of Busan.
