going to my classmate's son's birthday party later at 3 pm, and he stays in ang mo kio.

then i will rush home to watch 义无反顾 at 7 pm. a very nice hk drama serial. only hk drama serials can make me addicted. their wonderful storyline, and their superb actors/actresses. m _ d _ a c _ _ p drama serials can nv reach that level.

and then 10 pm i am going to kevii to play takraw. woo hoo.

on top of all these, i have a test on monday, which constitutes 50 percent of the entire grade. how exciting. haha.

武 . 舞

everytime when any of my nie classmates ask me wat is my pet sport, i will say soccer, sepak takraw and wushu.

and the moment i say wushu, their eyes will open damn big and look at me, with mouth slightly open, which equals to a shocked expression. haha.

all of them noe that i dance, because i got publicise DR08 to all of them in the hope of selling tickets (but sadly none of them din come to support, haiz).

anyway, right now, dance has taken over wushu as my main activity, but i have nv forgotten that my roots lie in wushu.

wushu is the only sport that i have represented my sec sch and jc in competitions, and i have won medals, from 1st place to 3rd place, so to say that wushu is my pet sport is not talking cock. the only 遗憾 that i have is i din have the chance to represent nus in wushu tournaments. thus i feel very happy for my wushu juniors in kevii who got that chance.

for the past year, i have been involved in more dance performances compared to wushu performance. in fact wushu performance only one, which is during cny where i performed for my contract sch. i seriously feel like performing wushu again, but dunno when will the opportunity come.

same as dance, wushu performance uses music to boost the performance level. when the music is very good, the performer will be deeply influenced and motivated by the music, and then feel damn high, and so perform better. i had used many types of nice wushu music before, but there is one music that i really wish to use for any of my future performance.

if i ever have the chance to perform to this music, i will die without regrets. but i have been searching high and low for the mp3, and cannot find. haiz.

the title of this blog post is 武 . 舞

and coincidentally, both chinese characters have the same 汉语拼音.

and both wushu and dance have formed a great part of my life. without this two, i dun think my life will be 多姿多彩.

finally, i will like to pay a tribute to this person who has single-handedly opened the dance chapter in my life.

he can be considered my 启门恩师.

it all started with float in 2006. and then it was ethereal in march 2007 when he asked me to dance in the shanghai item. next is sept 2007, dancing for nus chi dance in dance reflections. and i have been continuing ever since.

cheesecake cafe & charoodles

went with darling to the popular cheesecake cafe. a tip for everyone: go there very very early, about four to six pm. that's when you can confirm get a seat inside the cafe, and there's not much pple, and you can just enjoy the nice atmosphere all by yourself and take pics like crazy.

so for today, darling and i wore 情侣装.

first, is the cap. i bought them at jurong point sportslink. a collectible from rugby 2007 world cup.

second, is the t-shirt. darling bought them at bangkok.

go cheesecake cafe of course must order cheesecake. and the strawberry oreo cheesecake is our all time favourite.

besides cheesecake, we ordered sauteed mushrooms and chicken sausage pizza.

the plan was to go ecp to watch sunset, but then we chill out too long inside the cafe, by the time we left the cafe, the sky almost dark le. oops. sorry darling~ :p

at night went to woodlands and met up with the woodlanders from chi dance. we played a funny game called charoodles at the top level of a multi storey carpark. how cool is that?

charoodles is like charades, just that we have to act out the stuff using ONLY the props that the game provides. so the props are:

a long blue bendable tube that chio outdoor enthusiast is holding.

a yellow square thingy.

a green cup.

and finally, an orange ball.

well, is really quite fun lah. play until damn high. haha. its a game that can play on for hours and hours, and wun feel sian. thank you partner two for introducing to us this wonderful game~

sexes in the city

this is one item which is quite special, and if this is the first item that you watch for the concert, you may ask yourself: is this chi dance?

haha yah that's how special it is.

another dance with numerous pdd stunts, which requires lots of chemistry and 默契 between two dance partners. but sad to say, me and my dance partner have none. HAHA~

but i must say that my dance partner is a very good dancer and she looks very good on stage. that's why i am quite stressed when dancing with her cos i afraid watever i do will not make her shine on stage. i dance ugly also nvm, at least she will stand out compared to me, and i am totally fine with it.

so for the first segment of the dance, me and her are executives in the office, and our pdd portion depicts office politics. that's why you can see something like a duel between me and her. she is the one jumping here and there, legs everywhere.

while i am just on the ground supporting. haha. the only outstanding part for me is doing the matrix and rolling on the floor. =p

this item also has alot of pro dancers. that's why i always very sian when i go for practises for this item, and i always feel inferior among them.

anyway i will like to introduce 2 gals out of the pro dancers. both of them are damn flexible and have very good technique. but the thing is hor, when they tie up their hair, change into white shirt and black tights, they look almost the same! cant really differentiate them apart. just that the only big difference is melissa is taller than zhunian.

who is who? i think the one doing the split in the air is melissa. the one on the floor is zhunian

and now... guess who is this person?

very hard to guess... but i think is zhunian.

finally, i will like to pay a tribute to my pdd partners. thank you for putting up with my nonsense, my inability, my mistakes and my mood. thank you for guiding me and giving me alot of pointers so that we can improve, and also look good on stage.

(not listed in any order of merit, but listed based on the date that we performed. although chio outdoor enthusiast and xinyi are both in psyche, but winter item comes before distance, so chio outdoor enthusiast is at the top.)

of course, i must pay the final tribute to my darling. i noe is hard on you to see me dance with 4 different girls. thank you for being so 大方 on that. and most importantly, thank you for not splashing acid on their faces. HAHA NO LAH. of course i noe u wun do that.

finally, i am liberated for this week.

as you all know, i am super stressed with assignment deadlines. and i am glad that i had finally completed them and submitted them today. yay!

but this is only the start. i got two more weeks of hell coming up.

here's the 残酷的事实:

this is a perfect example of 破坏行情.

the final pose. both laval and i have the common consensus that hz has become heavier compared to last year.

this item can be said as the safest item, cos we performed it last year. not only that, some of the dancers performed this item with a grand total of 16 times in korea. plus the 2 times in chinatown for the buddha tooth temple. so that's why these steps are called the IMMORTALISED STEPS.

even though this is the safest item, it is also the most complacent item, since everyone will think that: "aiyah, dance so many times already, wun cock up one lah." and it doesnt help that the dance ic for this item is quite slack, who also happen to be my partner for sexes. =p

the expressions part for this dance quite easy, just need to smile widely and be super happy. not like 清男 and 出路, expressions so difficult to 拿捏. 出路 is the most difficult, cos you must be 苦, and at the same time you must have hope for the future. i dunno how to portray the hope part, and sometimes my 苦 will become 凶. haha~

清男 performance pics

first of all, selamat hari raya to my malay friends, malay colleagues, and malay students. and happy children's day to all the children in the world, especially my cute cousins.

a public holiday, and i am in hall, rushing my assignments. haiz everything has to blame on my procrastination. =p

but one thing that boost my morale a bit is chio outdoor enthusiast uploaded all the performance pics for every item!

first of all, presenting 清男.

but i am not too satisfied with the pics. its not that the quality is not good. its just that i dun look good or dun look seh or dun look shuai4. haha.

and because everyone look almost the same and most of the time i am either being blocked or my back view is shown, a yellow arrow is used to indicate where i am.

this is actually my most confident item, cos number 1, some of the dance moves are quite wushu, which i really like, and number 2, got no pdd, so that i am not responsible for my partner's safety and appearance on stage. but of course when responsibility comes i am ready to take it, so dun 误会 that i dun like pdd ok. haha.

but then during one of the rehearsals, good teacher say i keep looking at other dancers' actions and its very obvious. that was like a knife being stabbed into my heart, and from then on, i tell myself i wun do that anymore and just dance confidently. but who knows, when i dance "confidently", i 抢拍子, meaning my actions are faster than the rest at a particular portion of the music, and i got scolded by siaoyan jie for that. haha. 进退两难 leh. so the best solution is to dance with confidence, listen to the music, and at the same time look at the other dancers DISCREETLY so that audience wun think that is so obvious that i dunno actions.

in the end, after hearing pple's comments and watching the dvd, the item is still quite messy. =p
