darling has been indulging herself in a feast for the whole week, because of her nice personality 非常好的人缘, so she has her family and friends to celebrate with her by eating good food at restaurants from monday all the way until today. 


as for me, i have been indulging since wednesday, which i went to saf yacht club for darling's birthday celebration. thursday night i went to manhattan fish market with the pe dept. yesterday night i went to different taste restaurant at downtown east with my family and darling. and this morning i went to Hatched restaurant for breakfast. hoho.

barramudi fish that i ordered at manhattan fish market. it is really worth it! cost $18.90! my colleague got a huge shock when they saw it and all of them were taking out their phones and snapping photos of it. hahahaha.

went to this chinese restaurant at saf yacht club to celebrate darling's birthday. the best dish of the day is 印尼虾. the prawns are BIGGGG and the gravy is DELICIOUSSSSS.

my first time performing with wu yue dance studio arts troupe. and it is also my first time performing at nafa lee foundation theatre. the seating capacity is quite small. 380 seats. but the stage is big!!! not as big as the one at ucc hall lah, but can fight with the one at ucc theatre.

the mirror is very dirty. hahaha.

the fake moustache is seriously very irritating. irritating during the process of putting it on my face. and irritating to dance with it on my face. but since my role is a 50 year old uncle, then no choice but to make myself look older with that irritating moustache and wrinkles drawn on my forehead. haha.

on the left of the photo is alan, my student. in the centre is lin rui, from dance synergy. we are the rare breed because we are the only 3 guys in the performance, and we dun belong to the dance troupe! we are the guest performers~

thank you to my nuscd friends for supporting the 3 pm show. the other supporters include my student beverlee and her mum, batman, robin #1 and ex robin who left the school last year to become principal of another school.

thank you darling and her parents for supporting the 8 pm show! other supporters are michael from nuscd, ding laoshi and zhou laoshi (i din know they came until darling told me during the intermission and i saw ding laoshi at the audience when i was doing the curtain call), and 8 of my students. :)


ok another performance completed. got this very strong feeling that i will be called back again to perform for them. :p

wednesday post

tmr and friday i will be on course again. 


the course is very interesting: SEXUALITY EDUCATION WORKSHOP


the senior teacher of pupil development (basically she is the lao jiao of character education) came to me and ask me whether i can go for the workshop, so that i am certified to conduct sexuality education for the kids.


maybe she thinks that my face is very thick, wun be too embarassed when conducting sexuality education talk for boys with raging hormones. but no lah, she thinks that i am a good role model, and i am the best person to inculcate in them the importance of abstinence.

singapore art museum

visited the singapore art museum with my form class. we soak ourselves in a wonderful, interactive, comprehensive 2 hour session of visual art. wahhh~

hereafter

my first ever dance synergy concert.


the title of the concert is Hereafter, and the theme is revolving around the devastating tsunami that happened on march 2011 in japan. the audience is brought through the trauma experienced by the victims in the aftermath of the tsunami. and the finale item is titled Courage, because what provides the strength for the japanese to move forward hereafter are the strong sense of community and the power of memories that offer hope. 


it is really a good production, with strong dancers, good choreography, and wonderful stage effects. having water raining on the stage is already a winner, even though the effect is good on stage, but the water causes a few dancers to slip and fell. :(


the only problem that i can find for the production is that the whole mood is too 沉重, but after all since the theme is on tsunami, i guess it is quite hard to stray away from the tension and devastation throughout the concert. 


well done synergy dancers!


and now, time to focus on my performance this coming saturday. :p

food session @ ochre restaurant

darling reserved a table at ochre restaurant, in orchard central, level 11, for restaurant week.


if i am not wrong, restaurant week is a week whereby some super atas restaurants will have promotion set lunches or dinners during that week at a promotional price. 


so yah, ochre restaurant is really super atas, from the location (11th floor leh for goodness sake) and ambience you can already tell. 

the appetiser. this is good.

the main course. rissoto. normal only. not very fantastic.

the dessert is nice! it is called something like.... pina coloda? aiyah cant remember. :p


tomorrow watching nus dance synergy's performance! :)

chalet at aloha loyang

went to the chalet at aloha loyang, organised by my ex form class in 2010, when i just joined the workplace.

so happy to see them again! :)

thursday post

my hp bill for the past two months is at $28.86, all thanks to the corporate plan, and also thanks to whatsapp.


however, this month's hp bill reach an all time high again, at $43.08. i sent 763 sms-es. i only got 500 free sms-es.


all thanks to the speech day preparations, where i keep sending sms-es to students and teachers who have no whatsapp. zzzzzzzzzzzz...
