hong kong day 3 and 4

no prizes for guessing correctly where we are. and the weather today was really really cold! darling's dad can just wear a tshirt for the past few days. but today he need to wear two x long sleeves.

we also can pose on our own! i cannot do the 弓步 properly because of the tight jeans. ok lah because of my increasing weight that resulted in the tight jeans.

i just love coming to this place. it gives me the zen feeling and inner peace. 

our last dinner at hong kong - SATAY KING! darling's dad specially requested to come here to eat again! glad that everyone enjoyed the food here!

their signature mango fried rice, which we all think that it is overrated. the unagi fried rice is WAY MUCH BETTER. 

避风塘 calamari! this is damn nice! must also try their 避风塘 tofu and 避风塘 soft shell crab!!!

day 4 of hong kong trip (also our final day boo hoo hoo), we travelled to causeway bay to buy 恒香老婆饼。because the shop at mongkok and TST sogo close down away, so we have to go all the way to causeway bay sogo to buy. and we happened to see the protest site! of course must take photo with it. 

it was a good trip, to reward myself after a year of hard work at the workplace, and also very happy to bring darling's parents around macau and hong kong. thankfully i only horlan two or three times, and the horlan was not that bad. i think my map navigation skills improve, especially after the new york trip! i also must give my utmost respect to darling's little sister who can walk around the whole of mongkok on her own until late at night, and still can find her way back to the apartment. and thankful to her for buying supper back! hahahahaha. 

on a side note, tomorrow is my younger sister's wedding! all the best to my younger sister and her husband! darling and i will be the emcees for their banquet! :)

hong kong day 2

today we went to zen organic farm which is at Fan Ling. i bet you nv heard of zen organic farm right! i also nv heard of it before darling told me about this place. hahahaha. it is a good place to go after all the shopping at hk.

after zen organic farm we went to PMQ. PMQ is near Central mtr stn, sells chic stuff designed by up and coming locals, but the stuff is quite expensive. DUN USE ABERDEEN ROAD to go to PMQ. the slope is damn steep. we nearly died after the hike up. should have taken the mid escalator at SOHO. 

finally got to try the roast goose at yung kei. saw alot of reviews saying how good it is. and there is always a long queue during meal times. we went there at 4 plus and got a table immediately. we ordered half of the roast goose which cost us 250 hkd. not very cheap. darling and her mum felt that the roast goose was a bit overrated. hahaha. 

hong kong day 1

at macau ferry terminal waiting for our ferry to hong kong! presenting to you our couple jerseys!

our first lunch stop at hong kong: Satay King! this place is brotherhood's favourite for meals. we will definitely order the rice with white curry sauce! darling's parents and sis absolutely love the food there. darling's dad slurped every single gravy of the satay bee hoon and want to come here to eat again. :)

we had dinner at this very old school hong kong cafe called Star Cafe, recommended by the famous local food blogger Danial. it is a bit difficult to find. and it's location is beside a dodgy foot massage shop. i think darling and her family are thinking to themselves where am i bringing them to, when walking past the steamy pictures otw to the cafe. hahahahaha. 
   

Star Cafe is famous for its 出前一丁 tomato based noodles! everything is tomato based. tomato beef noodles. tomato luncheon meat noodles. tomato egg noodles. tomato sausage noodles. tomato (insert whatever meat or ingredient you can think of) noodles. 

darling's mum was amazed how i can actually find this place, when this is also my first time here! hahahaha. 

after dinner we decided to walk from tsim sha tsui all the way up to mongkok. and we chanced upon this 鸡蛋饼 stall. darling was over the moon because she always wanted to try 鸡蛋饼 and the stall looks quite popular, decorated with photos of hk celebrities taken with the stall owner. and there was quite a long queue. and it tasted really good, especially in the cold weather!
