thank allah for hari raya! that gives us a day to shop at orchard road! :)


we were searching for my birthday present, which is a white color blazer so that i can wear on formal occasions in future. first we went to heeren, but no luck. then we walked to orchard central. and we have a nice afternoon tea at the fruit tarts cafe on the 5th floor. very 悠哉闲哉. we like! :)

trip to southern ridges (again) + learning journey to 3M

in the morning, my sch's science department went for a walk at the southern ridges for a department retreat. after the walk we did some "serious work" at vivocity. after the "serious work" we were given free time to shop because some of us are not in smart casual attire for the 3M visit later. and i saw ah yam at national geographic cafe. 冤家路窄.

my 3rd time here. hahahaha.


as we were about to leave southern ridges i ask my colleagues to do a jump shot! hahaha. but not everyone is onz to do. so let's see who are the onz ones in my department. :p

in the afternoon half of the sch's teachers went for a learning journey at 3M. the other half went to carrefour last friday. at 3M we were introduced to 3M's innovation enterprise, and some of their products.

so what does 3M stand for? Make More Money. nah just kidding. figure out yourself. hahahaha.

birthday celebration part 4

part 4 was with my jc classmates at this korean restaurant called doong ji. it is at katong! at first i din have any expectation, because i just had korean bbq on thursday. but the moment i taste the food. it was OH MY GOD. seriously delicious! especially the kimchi fried rice and the hotpot!

and it is cake overdose again, from coffee bean!

baozhen's birthday was on 3rd nov. or isit 4th? shit i forgot! pls dun kill me! :p

my grandpa's birthday

today is my grandpa's birthday. ok actually wat i wanna blog in this post is not really about my grandpa's birthday. but of course must show him some honourable mention, since he is my grandpa, without him, my pa wun exist, and without my pa i wun exist too, so grandpa, happy _ _ th birthday! may you be blessed with good health!


i actually want to blog about my cousins, who are in primary 3. at such a young age, and yet the words that come out of their mouth are... tsk tsk. simply unimaginable.


let me give you some examples, starting with the most mild ones:

and i also found out that they have facebook. even the 7-year-old cousin also have his own facebook account. when i was 7 years old i play catching at playground. i play soccer at void deck. i play monkey bar and crocodile at the sch field during recess. now my cousins go to facebook, watch videos on youtube, play games on iphone.

birthday celebration part 3

part 3 is with my family. we ate at jang shou korean bbq. my second time there (first time was with darling), but it is definitely the first for the rest of my family members.


the kimchi taste awesome. the different types of meat taste awesome. the fruits are fresh and sweet. and the water is nice to drink. hahahahahaha.


oh my younger sis bf came too, and he gave me a ang bao. i was a bit shocked because both of us are same age, but he assured me that inside is not money, it is voucher.


all right, i am going to show you all my awesome birthday cake, bought by my little sis.

birthday celebration part 2

on my birthday i still need to go to sch to teach. *yawnzzz*


but thank goodness it is only one hour, and the class is also my form class, so it is not that bad after all. when i reach my table i saw a winnie the pooh figurine, which was from mdm su, who teaches chinese and also the wushu teacher overall in-charge. :)


later on i received a box of chocolates from my chemistry CT, who is also my mentor. and then a box of famous amos cookies from eudora, who teaches music. :)

later on my sch DM came into the staffroom, and my chemistry mentor told him it is my birthday, so he used his loud booming voice in the whole staffroom to announce to everyone. hahahaha. and my colleagues start to come to me one by one to wish me. awesome colleagues i have! :)


the best surprise is from my form class. their lessons end at 1230 and they ask me to go the classroom after 1230. but when i was approaching the classroom, a few of my students stopped me and said that the "preparation" is not ready and they brought me to the staircase and asked me to wait there first. so after about 15 minutes, they blindfolded me and guide me to the classroom. 


and when they uncovered my eyes, behold:

awwwww~ my form class is just so sweet~


peishi (the jumping jewel) made an A4 size card for me, and the whole class wrote the birthday wishes into the card.

she was the one who chose this jersey. the plump student paid for the jersey. 


i also received cards from individual students, and the words written in this card are extremely ( ________ ) ... i dunno wat word to use, because i wonder am i really that significant or important to deserve such praises.


here goes:

birthday celebration part 1

part 1 was on 10th november. i was meeting darling at causeway point for dinner. then at around 7 pm, darling smsed me that she also invited hw, chio outdoor enthusiast and gorgeous grace! wow! that was really a big surprise for me! :)


but chio outdoor enthusiast and gorgeous grace were not able to make it for dinner cos they were still stranded at their workplace. so me, darling and hw had a romantic threesome dinner at dian xiao er. hahahaha. thank you hw for being so willing to be the light bulb.


after dinner the three of us went to gelare to wait for chio outdoor enthusiast and gorgeous grace to join us. they came, and the birthday song was sung, the candle was blown and the cake was cut! haha.

after part 1(a), me and darling bid farewell to the other 3. jingwen can take the same bus back with us but she dun want to be light bulb. back at darling's house, we finished bathing (we bathe separately at two different toilets ok!!!) and was about to sleep. suddenly darling received a call and quickly ran out of the room. then when she came back to the room she said to me: "dear, 我们可以迟一点才睡吗?"


sensed something suspicious because a few min ago jingwen sms me whether am i staying overnight at darling's place. hahaha. so i ok lor, stay up a while longer lor. and then around 15 min later, 3 guests appeared at darling's doorstep! no prizes for guessing correctly who they are:

the three of them din go home after we left them! they were deciding on how to surprise me at 12 midnight! so they bought a bottle of sparkling juice and champagne plastic glasses from ntuc. and i had the honour to uncock the bottle of sparkling juice. haha! 

thank you everyone for making my birthday so memorable, and staying up so late with me, when you all still have to go to work the next day. i am very touched~

weddings~

last thur i went to KC and esther's wedding at grand hyatt. it was the one of the latest weddings i attended. banquet starts at around 850 pm! left the hotel at 1135 pm! many thanks to huifen who fetched me and darling to woodlands. 万分的感动. oh yah i love the wedding video of KC and esther. it is very well made. kudos to that person!


ok let me share a conversation between myself and KC yesterday.


me: yoz, how's married life?


KC: not as interesting as watching your unedited videos. now our friend status drop to acquaintance already.


(OOPPS...)


and then at the end of the conversation when i am going off.


me: ok lah, i going to sleep, MARRIED LIFE RULEZ!


KC: ha ok. good night. let's not meet up anymore.


(so it is true that a man is nv complete without getting married. but he is FINISHED once he is married.)


and yesterday i went to my colleague's wedding at carlton hotel. coincidentally, both my colleague and KC are teachers, and both of them are jcrc presidents of their respective halls. but my colleague's wedding banquet started earlier as compared to KC's. and the nicest part of his wedding is... he hired 3 hot pretty ladies to dance 'nobody' on stage! wow! 


next time when i get married i will ask fen, nzj, ah liang, hw and liang bin to dance 'sorry sorry'. then darling will be the damsel in distress, getting harassed by a villain called leow chee leong. and then i will 吊钢线 and fly in the ballroom, fight and whack the villain, and save darling. darling chose leow chee leong to be the villain because he is learning muay thai, and darling feels that wushu vs muay thai is more exciting. HAHAHAHA.


another wedding banquet this friday, and i heard that got a VVVVVVVIP coming, and his surname is goh. keep guessing!

200 dollars in my pocket! the money comes in handy because i have 3 wedding dinners to attend this two weeks. one of them is KC's wedding, who is my pe classmate, dinner held at grand hyatt TOMORROW. second one is this sunday, my colleague's wedding, dinner held at carlton (yah without the ritz). next friday is another colleague's wedding, dinner held at mandarin oriental. WOOOOO. i am going to be so broke.

on a side note, my students baked cookies for me! 

can see the TYY? my students are really very sweet... and the cookies taste very nice! can taste their sincerity in making the cookies. :)
