after a yummy buffet breakfast, we went to glover garden, located on a hilltop overlooking the nagasaki port. the view of the port is magnificient.
there were some very nice exhibits too.

we head to the first shopping centre of the trip. i dunno how to describe the shopping centres in japan, but the first feel is that they are better than the ones in singapore.
there is a starbucks outlet, and my younger sis is super excited. she went in to buy alot of souvenirs for her colleagues. the girls at the starbucks outlet are very friendly. :)
had our lunch at the basement of the shopping centre. it is a bit similar to the food court of takashimaya. we ordered lots of yummy food! my dad ordered a ramen set, which consists of a bowl of ramen, a bowl of rice, a plate of gyoza and a dish of spiced pickles, cost only 800 yen, which is about 11 sing dollar, which i think is very affordable. my sisters bought strawberry shortcake mcflurry from macdonald, strawberry ice cream crepe from this ice cream shop called baskin robbins, and some omelette thingy, where inside the omelette got sliced cabbage and egg noodles, that is served on a hot plate. i went to order tako yaki, which is octopus balls. my mum just sit down and wait for us.
because the food court stalls have alot of customers. so to minimize the human traffic and also dun let us wait at the stall for too long, we are given this small device after ordering our food, then we can go back to our table and sit, the device will ring when our food is ready. cool rite?
went to walk walk at the supermarket. only got one word to describe. SOLID. ntuc can go fly kite.
the next place that we went is chinatown. nothing much to see there. so we took some crazy photos.

funny jump shots. it took quite some time for me to finally capture a shot of my little sis jumping in the air. she has to NG alot of times, not because she jump not good, but because my photo taking skills very cock up.
nagasaki is the next destination. if you all remember your history, nagasaki and hiroshima are the two places that kenna america's atomic bomb during WWII. so we went to the atomic bomb museum. inside the museum showcases all the remains from the atomic bomb, pictures of bodies, and video footage of the atomic bomb. if you all dunno, the atomic bomb was dropped on nagasaki in the year 1945, on 9th august (which also happens to be our national day), at 1102 am.
the museum has alot of paper cranes. millions of them. these cranes are folded by the future generations, to commemorate the victims of the atomic bomb, and also to spread peace. i bought a peace t-shirt at the museum, which i wore it on the last day of the trip.
after the museum, we went to peace garden. there is a statue of peace which is super tall. the garden has alot of very nice maple leaf trees. reminds me of the song 《枫》by jay chou.
finally, we head back to the hotel. this hotel is a hot spring hotel, which means that its a traditional japanese hotel, which also means that we sleep on tatami, and we also can wear our japanese robe called ya-ku-ta and walk around in the hotel. in western hotels we definitely cant do that. wear the ya-ku-ta got certain rules and regulations. for example the left side must be over the right. then for women, if you tie the knot at the back means you are married, if you tied in front means you are single.
this hotel also quite power pack one, cos the emperor and empress of japan got stay here before.
our dinner is fabulous! its a traditional japanese dinner! we were all wow-ed by the fabulous spread. its exactly wat we saw on tv during japan hour on channel news asia.
after dinner we went to the hot spring. the hot spring is 男女分开 one. so i go with my dad, my two sisters followed my mum. bathe in hot spring also got rules and regulations one. when you go for the hot spring, you can only be dressed in yakuta and slippers. then upon reaching there, you must strip everything, and go in naked. you are allowed to bring a small towel to cover your dick. as for the females, you can only choose to cover either one of your breasts or your vagina, cos i dun think the small towel is big enough to cover both at the same time.
ok then when you go in, there is a place for you to shower yourself, so you must rinse yourself very clean. there's also soap and shampoo provided. after you clean yourself, then you step into the hot spring. cannot spend too long in the hot spring, just five to ten min is enough. if you spend too long inside i think you will faint, due to loss of water from the body.
we went to the outdoor hot spring, and its damn shiok, because on that night the sky is very clear, can see all the stars. the water is not as hot as the one in hokkaido, and the sulphur content is not that heavy also. so i guess its a artificial outdoor hot spring.
that wraps up day 2. :)
and to side track a bit, this post is also the 500th post! woo hoo! *open champagne to celebrate*
