after reaching taipei train station, we took the 捷运 to 中山站, which is where our hostel is. we stayed at this hostel called taiwanmex for two nights. it cost 15 sing dollars per person for one night. the room is small and cosy, and the living room has 2 computers with internet access, and a cable tv. the disadvantage is that the other hostelites will gather in the living room after midnight and talk loudly or watch soccer, which will disturb your sleep. and then the shower cubicles are at a balcony, ma chiam like those toilet cubicles you see at countdown parties, so makes you wanna bathe quickly and dun stay inside for too long. haha. but all these for 15 dollars a night is very affordable already. some more the both of us will go out early in the morning and come back at about eleven plus at night, so we just bathe and then sleep.
after we put down our luggage in our room, the first place that we went to is 淡水. we walked through the 老街, bought some 小吃 such as 虾卷, 炸榴莲, 炸小螃蟹. we also bought 铁蛋 back for our family and friends.
and then we go to 淡水红毛城.
next, we took a ferry to 渔人码头 to see the lovers' bridge.
after 淡水, we took 捷运 to 剑潭站, and walked to 士林夜市. 士林夜市 is one of the most vibrant night markets in taiwan, with lots of yummy food and nice clothes.

we also played some games.
its really very difficult to catch the fish, and we failed terribly. so we went to observe other pple, and wow, catch fish also have strategy one.
士林夜市 is really a very happening place, and its a place that you must definitely go if you are in taipei.
