the 庆功宴 was held at mike's place. as i had mentioned earlier, the theme for this 庆功宴 is 'back to school'.
coincidentally it was zhou laoshi's birthday! so the exco bought a very big mango cake for him, and all of us sang a birthday song for him.
(can identify the different sch uniforms?)
the cake really look damn nice and delicious, but the mangoes are a bit sour, not those super sweet kind. haiz disappointed.
i tried to dress myself as a japanese student (hope i din fail terribly in this audacious attempt), and darling dressed herself up as a kawaii japanese student too! i think darling look very nice, cute and sweet.
left the 庆功宴 early with darling because we have to rush to NAFA to watch my little sis drama performance.
ok so this is my review of the drama performance. i must stress that this is my own opinion, and i am speaking based on my experience of performing on stage, be it wushu, drama or dance.
1st item - the circus. the two girls performing the 彩带 look very uncomfortable and awkward. but they can be forgiven since they are actors, not dancers. the cast who stand out are the 马戏团老板 and the joker. the 马戏团老板 looks super natural in his wheelchair and can control the wheelchair like he sat there for ten years.
2nd item - the school dropout. i like the female lead. her expressions not bad. i also like the mrt scene when everybody was taking the escalator and disappeared from the stage. ma chiam there's really an escalator there. haha. i also like the 'inner demons'. actually i like how the 'inner demons' can be transformed from a normal 道具 like umbrella, sch bag, etc etc.
3rd item - the 默剧. my favourite item. i think all the actors and actresses did very well. everyone got a distinct role, and they portrayed their role to perfection. high entertainment value. this item stood out because audience watch will feel very 轻松. everybody enjoyed watching and laughed their hearts out.
4th item - the 压轴 item. also the item which my little sis wrote the script, and was also the director. i like the female lead. got strong stage presence. i like the ah-gua celebrity manager. he act so naturally as an ah-gua. so is he a real ah-gua in real life? i like the baker aunty too. wonder wat is her age, cos she look quite chao4 lao3. i think she looks older than my sis. sekali she is one of the teachers. haha. generally all the cast are quite good.
and i must mention my little sis. i think she is acting as 小S, and she 模仿 until very 像. got 小S's bimbo-ness, bitchiness, and 无厘头-ness. haha. and the way she wrote the script... its like her telling her life? getting friends to meet up but friends always busy with their own stuff. the cake shop scene, where my sis work in a cake shop (in real life), and our mum is also a baker.
so the whole family went to support her. my parents, myself and darling, my younger sis and her bf.
anyway i am happy that each of us (me and my two sisters) have a forte. mine is wushu. my younger sis is dance. and my little sis is drama.
but now i win, cos i have tried drama and dance too! haha.
